FootyBoard

FootyBoard is a free football tactics board that runs in your browser. No download, and no account needed to open a board or to look at one someone sent you. A board is accessed through a code or URL. Most tactics boards are single-player: you draw something, export a picture, send the picture. Here the address bar is the share link, and there is a six-letter code for anyone you would rather not send a URL to. Whoever joins sees the same pitch you are looking at, live. You can see each other's cursors, and when you move a player it moves on their screen. It works for a team talk on a phone at the side of a pitch, or for planning a session with a co-coach an hour away. Formations. Ten shapes for eleven-a-side: 4-4-2, 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1, 4-1-4-1, 3-5-2, 3-4-3, 5-3-2, 5-4-1, 4-4-1-1 and 4-3-2-1, plus 7-a-side and futsal pitches. Shirt numbers follow the roles, so your 6 sits where a 6 sits. Every shape has mid-block and high-line versions, which saves dragging a back four up the pitch every time you want a different defensive height. Arrows. Draw passing and running lines over the shape, and rub them out when the idea changes. Frames. Capture a position, move people, capture again. Scrub back through the sequence, then export the whole move as a GIF or a video. That is the bit that explains a rotation or a pressing trigger; a still image never has. Room to think. The pitch has edges, the canvas around it does not. Park a set piece off to one side and come back to it later. A typed assistant. Type what you want in plain English and the board does it: change a formation, switch the view, move a player to the left half-space. It works offline and without an account. Sign in and you can opt into an AI mode that handles unusual phrasings and answers tactical questions, but nothing leaves your machine unless you turn that on yourself. Accounts are optional and only exist for keeping boards. Everything else is free and open in a tab.
