• Attackers (Green) attack with 7 players and defenders (black) defend with 6 • The goalkeeper starts the attack by turning over possession into one of the central green players • Attackers (green) are set up with wide players locked in their zones and four central attackers • Defenders (black) are locked in their central third and must prevent the ball reaching the striker or shots from central areas • Attacking team aims to combine quickly and use wide space to access finishing areas Progression 1: • Once the ball reaches the wide zone, the opposite wide player is free to drift into the back post to attack crosses Progression 2: • Once the ball goes wide, one full-back from the defending team can recover to defend in the wide area Reset: • Each wave ends with a goal, a clearance by the defence, or a transition. Then the next wave begins with a new ball from the goalkeeper
