• Penetration Timing: Encourage players to play forward as soon as the opportunity presents, break lines with purpose. • Use of the Striker: Can players find the striker behind the goal quickly and follow their pass to combine? • Scanning and Orientation: Midfielders should scan before receiving, to see if the striker or wide goals are viable options. • Body Shape: Players should open up to play forward as their default posture. • Decision Making: Reward intelligent use of the support striker — is it better to bounce and switch or penetrate directly?
