Attackers • Possession with a purpose is key. • Think forward, look forward, play forward. • Move the ball with combinations. Defenders • Press Aggressively, but with intent. Wait for a pass back or a loose touch. • First Defender presses, and shows the player on the ball one way to make the pass predictable. • Other defenders provide cover & immediately presses the predictable pass. Attacking Transition • Player who wins the ball is the most vulnerable. They will be pressed immediately so release the ball quickly. Defensive Transitions • Change of attitude to aggressive defence. Shut off passing lanes.
