Creating Space

To develop the ability to create and exploit space in attacking phases, particularly blindside of the defender.

Striker Awareness: • The striker should scan the field before dropping deep to identify open teammates or potential space to exploit. Timing of Runs: • Midfielders must time their forward runs to exploit space vacated by defenders following the striker. Quality of Passes: • Passes must be crisp and accurate to maintain tempo and exploit defensive gaps effectively. Decision-Making: • Encourage players to decide when to combine with the striker or bypass them with direct play to maximize attacking opportunities.
