To develop players’ first touch, ball control, communication, and volleying technique through a fun and competitive game.
• Divide a rectangular area into halves using mini-goals or cones to simulate a 'net.' • Create teams of 1–4 players per side. • Adjust the size of the pitch based on the number and ability of players. • The ball must be served over the 'net' from one side to start the point. • Each team is allowed a maximum of 1 or 2 touches per player and 1 bounce on their side before returning the ball. • The ball must go over the net area and land within the opponent’s half. • Teams win a point if: the opponent fails to return the ball, the ball bounces twice, or the return lands out of bounds. • As a progression, let players first time volley (1 touch, no bounce) into the mini goal for a point. • Play like tennis: 4 points for a game, 6 games wins a set, and make it the best of 3 sets.
