Build-Up & Midfield Play • Prioritise movement to receive between lines and on angles. • Play forward, bounce, turn — then switch. • Encourage awareness of timing and body orientation before switching. Switching Play • Recognise the moment when the opponent is unbalanced. • Use minimal touches to switch with speed and disguise. • Value possession over forcing the switch — keep circulating if the switch isn't on. Defensive Support • Rotate defenders into the zone wisely to support build-up. • Use those passes to draw pressure centrally and provoke openings. Transition Moments • On regain, move the ball centrally as fast as possible. • Upon losing possession, protect central areas and prevent the switch.
