Create 2 rectangular grids, with a big goal at one end and two mini goals at the other. Play 4(+ goalkeeper) v 4 in each zone. Players get a goal for each time they score (the game is directionally). Swap halves after a set time. This game simulates the middle of the pitch and players will need a variety of skills to escape pressure. If the game is too difficult then place “safe zones” on or off the pitch (as shown by the grey areas in the diagram. Any player who goes into this zone cannot be challenged.
