Improve build-up play under pressure by encouraging defenders to progress the ball effectively while attackers press with intensity.
• Split players into two teams of 8, with each team forming a defensive line of four and an attacking line of three. • Defenders play in their own half, attempting to progress the ball against the opposing attackers. • The goalkeeper starts play by passing to a defender. • The objective is to move the ball to a 'free' player who must dribble or pass across the designated end line. • If attackers win possession, they attempt to score immediately (one attempt only). • If defenders regain possession, the sequence ends, and play restarts with the goalkeeper. • Every restart comes from the goalkeeper.
