To develop players' ability to coordinate pressing, win possession high up the pitch, and transition quickly into attack.
• Set up a pitch with a big goal on one end and three mini-goals at the other. • Divide players into two teams of six, with one team having a goalkeeper. • The team with the goalkeeper (Blue) starts by building from the back toward the mini-goals. • The opposing team (Red) presses to win the ball and attacks the big goal. • The game starts from the goalkeeper of the Blue team every time. • The Blue team aims to progress the ball toward the mini-goals through controlled possession. • The Red team applies coordinated pressing to regain possession and transition into attacking the big goal. • After a set time (e.g., 5-10 minutes), swap the teams' roles so both practice pressing and building play.
