Pressing Rondo

Improve team compactness, pressing angles, and the ability to cut off central passing options.

• Create a rondo square with five players keeping possession and two defenders pressing to win the ball back. • The possession team must circulate the ball quickly while the defenders apply pressure. • Possession team (Black) plays on two-touch maximum to encourage quick passing and decision-making. • Defenders (Blue) press aggressively, trying to regain possession. • Winning the ball within 5 passes: If defenders win possession within five passes, both players rotate out, and new defenders enter. • Winning the ball after 5 passes: If defenders win the ball after five passes, only the player who won it rotates out, and the remaining defender stays in until they win possession.
