To improve players' ability to handle 1v1 situations both face-to-face and from behind, emphasizing decision-making, scanning, and execution under pressure.
Setup: • Set up the pitch as shown, with cones marking stations, a goalkeeper in the goal, and two small mini goals on either side. • Players are positioned at stations 1, 2, 3, and 4 at each station. Execution: • The goalkeeper starts the drill by passing to Player 1, triggering Player 2. • Player 1 engages in a face-to-face 1v1 situation with Player 2, aiming to beat the defender and score in the main goal. • Once the ball is either scored, saved, or goes out of play, Player 2 quickly transitions to receive a pass from Player 3. • Player 4 immediately sprints out to defend, putting pressure on Player 2 from behind. • If any defensive player, including the goalkeeper, wins the ball at any time, they can score in one of the side mini-goals. Rotation: • Rotate players around the stations.
